England 2013

Daily reports (written by students)
First day

We went to Innsbruck Airport by bus and from there we flew to London Gatwick. From there  a bus took us to Eastbourne. We left our suitcases in the Language School and walked to the Mc Donald’s. After that we went to the seafront where we took a lot of photos. Then we went back to our school. And then our „parents“ brought us „home“. It is small but OK  and clean.

Second day

We got up at 7:00 am and had breakfast. Then our hostmum drove us to school  where we met our friends  We spent the morning in two groups with two teachers called Jill and Phil. After the lessons we went to the attractions of Eastbourne for example: the Wish Tower, the Buccaneer, the  Parish Church etc. We were very happy when we could go swimming in the sea but the water was very cold. Now we are in our host family’s house and are very tired because we walked for a long time.

This was the second day

The best three groups won a prize. Then we were allowed to spend some time in the shopping mall.

Fourth day

The breakfast was very good. Then we went to our meeting point at the "MaCi-Tree". We went to London by train. There we used the underground to get to Madame Tussaud's. We saw a lot of cool things and sights. Our favourite sight was the London Eye, because you have a great view over the city. The boat tour on the Themse was also cool. We took photos of the Tower and of Tower Bridge. In the train back to Eastbourne we played games and had a lot of fun. We all enjoyed the day.

Fifth day

Today we were in Brighton. At first we went to Brighton Pier. It was sooooo great! We had a ride on the wildest roller coaster. After that we went to Sea Life and touched a star fish. Uhhh! Then we walked to the old city, which is called the Lanes and went shopping. There we had a nice time. Romana and I drank a "Caramell Macciato" at Starbucks. It was very good. In the afternoon we saw the Royal Pavilion. We went through it with headphones. It was very interesting. Afterwords we went through "Bond Street, Kensington Gardens, Kensington Road,...", where we saw very nice shops in narrow streets and graffitis on houses. It was a nice day in Brighton.

Sixth day

In the morning we went to school. First Jill was our teacher an then Phil. The lessons were great. After that we went to Beachy Head. There we took a lot of photos. Beachy Head is the highest cliff in England. We also went to the Seven Sisters and walked through the Seven Sisters Country Park beside the River Cuckmere. It was so great, beautiful and funny. We enjoyed the sun too. On the way home we had a beautiful view of the countryside, down to Eastbourne and the wonderful sea.

Seventh day

We had two lessons with Phil and Jill. After school we had lunch. At half past twelfe we went to the railway station. And we drove to Hastings. Our group walked through the old town to the "Smuggler's Adventure". It was cool and funny there. Later we went to the ruins of the old castle, where we had a beautiful view. Maximilian told us something about "The peace of Cheese Cottage". For a short time we went into a museum. The name is "Hastings Fishermen's Museum". Around 5 p.m. we drove home. That was a great holiday.

8. Tag:
