Reading Club
Every month, students of the classes 1a and 1b meet in the afternoon to read English books together! Reading skills are important to be able to navigate our everyday lives, so it was important to me that students realize that even though they have been learning English for only a few months, they can already read and understand a lot more than they think!
We started our reading club with a legend from a Native American tribe called “Fireball’s Heart”. This is a story about trust, telling lies, and telling the truth, even if it‘s not easy.
Of course, reading is not the only thing we do! Last time we made origami bookmarks together, and some students even brought food and drinks for us to enjoy! Thank you so much to all parents and students who made this possible. We had a great time together!
What will our next book be about? -- Come to the reading club and find out! 😊
